Slow Film International Festival is organised in Eger from 24th July to 31st July 2010. Location of the festival is Urania Cinema (14 Széchenyi str. Eger) and Agria Cinema 4. Törvényház str. Eger). Slow Film Festival is open to any filmmaker.
Number of films you can apply with is unlimited int he following two categories:
1.) Documentary film
2.) Fiction film
Main topic of the festival is: WHAT IS THE OUTCOME OF GLOBALISATION? IMPORTANCE OF COOPERATION, SOLIDARITY IN GLOBAL WORLD
By signing the application form the applicant declares that he/she has full ownership of the film to be shown.
Application of the films is free.
The festival rejects the films breaking the regulations of SFNF.
The films must be sent by 15th Jun 2010 in DVD form, with English subtitles, on the cost of the applicants. One DVD can have only one film, the accompanying letter must contain the following data: Title, length, name of director or producer, email address and telephone number of sender.
The festival has the right to archivate the films and keep the copies. SFNF calls the attention of filmmakers not to send master copies of the films.
Participant agrees by signing the application form that in cases not regulated by SFNF he/she accepts relevants regulations of Hungarian legislation and also accepts the film be projected in public on the spot of the festival and used in promotional media.
Prize:
Prizes of the festival can only be taken by the creators. Those not present at the festival will be sent a diploma and written explanation of the jury by post.
Money prize given by the jury:
1 main prize: 1,000 Euros
1 prize: 800 Euros
The film programmes can be seen at two scenes: Urania Cinema – 14. Széchenyi str. Eger and Agria Park Cinema – 4. Törvényház str. Eger. Besides competition films the most successful Hungarian films of last year are also projected.
Screening is open, anybody can watch them, daily tickets are 1000 Huf/day.
Hungarian film distributors, TV companies are invited and have possibility to buy distribution rights of the films.
